How long we keep your data
From our Privacy Policy, the same text as in the app.
How long we keep it
- Your account and profile: until you delete your account.
- Your twin’s photos, portrait, voice recording, cloned voice and video clips: while your twin exists. They are deleted when you delete your twin or your account, or withdraw your face or voice permission.
- Chats and call transcripts: until you delete your account. We don’t delete them automatically after a set time; if that changes, this policy will say so. You can delete your current chat with a twin yourself (see below).
- Memories: until you delete them or your account.
- Contact hashes: while contact matching is on.
- Your permissions: for as long as your account exists, as the record of what you agreed to.
- Data exports: each download link works for 7 days; the file is erased when your account is deleted.
- Crash reports and service logs: for a limited time set by those providers. They are designed to leave out what you say in calls and chats.
Deleting your data or your account
- Delete your current chat with a twin from that chat’s ⋮ menu (Delete this chat), and choose whether the twin also forgets what it learned from it. Earlier chats and call transcripts are deleted with your account.
- Delete your twin but keep your account in Settings → Pause or delete your twin. Its face, voice, clips and what it remembered about people are erased; conversations people had with it stay theirs.
- Delete your account in Settings → Delete account. Your twin is paused at once. You have 7 days to cancel by signing back in; after that we delete your account, twin, photos, voice, conversations and memories, and have ElevenLabs delete your cloned voice.
- When an account is deleted, conversations other people had with its twin are deleted too.
- Copies can remain for a short while in network caches after deletion.
- We keep a record that the deletion happened, a summary of billing and usage totals for tax and accounting, and safety records such as reports and flagged excerpts. These don’t include your photos or voice, and your phone number is kept only in hashed form.
